I design the unglamorous software that keeps trains, clinics and invoices running.

About

I’m a product designer in Montréal. For nine years I have worked on software that people use because they have to, not because they want to: a trip planner, a patient form, an invoicing tool, a job sheet, a component library. The people on the other end are usually in a hurry and rarely fans of software.
My process is mostly listening and writing. I sit where the work happens: on the tram, at the front desk, in the van. Then I write the decisions down, with the options we rejected, so the team can disagree with me in week ten instead of week thirty.
Outside work I run a monthly critique night for local designers, bake bread badly and cycle all year, which in Montréal is a personality. From January 2027 I’m looking for a staff role on a team that cares about the boring parts of a product.
Hiring for a senior or staff role? Email me.
I answer within two working days. A short note about the team and the problem is plenty.
